When Kimbra and I first started working together, she was unhappy with her weight, and felt generally lethargic — having trouble getting up and going in the morning, and not feeling very much like herself. Here’s what she has to say about our work together:
“Since working with Gina, my energy levels have increased (with a significant decrease in coffee consumption). I also stopped monitoring my weight as soon as I began to feel better about myself (eating less junk), and have been cooking more at home, eating out less, and making better decisions about the meals that I do eat when I go out. I’ve gotten back to a regular exercise routine that fits my body’s needs. Plus, my relationships with friends have significantly improved! I’m building healthy friendships with people that appreciate me, and want to spend time with me.”

Laura McKnight is a mother, charitable giver, cake maker, and a general “go-getter.” She put on a camp for preteen girls over the summer of 2011, and I was lucky enough to be a guest speaker during the camp.
Gina Claypool came prepared with a preteen-friendly version of rules for healthy living. Be generous. Get enough sleep. Laugh. Go outside. Say thank you. Hum a happy song. Eat right. And eating right was the best part of the lesson because Gina brought samples. Three kinds of kale chips, brownies made with chickpeas (you couldn’t even tell!) and hot pink hummus dip (thanks to beets). In fact, the healthy treats were so delicious that all of the girls asked for seconds.

Here’s what she wrote about her experience:
“You were terrific at the camp on Friday! Thank you, thank you! The snacks were delicious and your remarks were perfect. I am so grateful that you were willing to share your time and expertise with us. Most generous of you!”

Thank you Gina Claypool, for doing my Health history with me today. I found you to be very comfortable to talk to and a great listener. You asked all the right questions in all the right places. The one thing I will take away with me is that you pointed out that I was “very resourceful”. Thank you Gina.

I had the pleasure of sharing health histories with Gina today. She was professional throughout the entire session. I felt comfortable speaking with her. She asked questions with purpose and I felt she was really listening to me. I think Gina is on the right path and I wish her much success and happiness in her exciting journey as a health coach.

I enjoyed talking with Gina and felt fortunate to have shared health histories with her. She listened and made me feel comfortable to open up. The session went smoothly and she asked the right questions to get me to open up more. Her knowledge and passion will make Gina a great health coach.
