Recipes I Want to Try

I love food blogs.  Especially the ones with pretty pictures.  Reading food blogs makes me want to eat and cook and eat some more.  So, here, ladies and gentlemen, are some of the recipes from around the Blog-o-Sphere that I want to try.

From Skinny Taste: A different Gina who is all about low-fat recipes.  I don’t necessarily lean low-fat, but if I want to look for a lighter recipe, Skinny Taste is a great food blog to reference.

Crock Pot Bolognese Sauce: I have never made a red pasta sauce from scratch before, and I love cooking in my slow cooker, so this one sounds delightful.

Sweet and Fiery Pork Tenderloin with Mango Salsa:  Just say “mango” and I’m in.  Plus, the hubster loves pork tenderloin.  I’m kind of meh about it, but with mango, it could be deee-lightful.

From Health-Bent: Health-Bent is a husband/wife duo who strive to eat as healthfully as they can.  They have done (and continue to do) their research, and have decided a mostly paleo approach is best for them.

Healthy Recipes

Cowboy Breakfast Skillet: Avocado, eggs, sweet potato.  Need I go on?  This needs to go in my breakfast rotation, stat!

Cider Braised Bratwurst with Onions and Peppers: My mom used to make sausage with onions and peppers served over polenta, and I loved it.  This sounds like a delicious twist on a favorite recipe.  It was featured not only on Health-Bent, but on Food Renegade, too.

Stewed Collard Greens with Chorizo: Mmmm…dark leafy greens.  Delicious and nutritious.  I love finding new ways to cook up and eat my dark leafy greens.

From Peas and Thank You: Sarah Matheny is a health-conscious, vegan mom who blogs about life with children. And she posts recipes, too.

Sunflower Seed Butter: I’ve made my own cashew butter before, but never Sunflower Seed butter.  I will put this on the to-do once I get a Vita-mix or Blendtec list.

Shepherd’s Pie:  This is on my menu plan for this week, but I’m not necessarily going to make it vegan.  I do want to try the true to the recipe version, too.

I hope these recipes have whet your appetites!
